Solo Butterfly Series
The lovely European Peacock Butterfly, Aglais io, also known as Inachis io, is from the Nymphalidae family. It is found in parts of Asia and east to Japan. The large, colorful “eyes” on its wings are very striking. I believe the actual butterfly is more brightly colored than my painting!
