I will be singing once again with Marin Baroque in the upcoming concert, “Handel | Italian Journey”. It should be a wonderful event! The featured work is Handel’s Dixit Dominus, which he wrote as a very young, exuberant composer while in Italy. There will be other works by Handel, including a duet which I’ll be singing with soprano Elsa Nicol. Arcangelo Corelli’s Concerto Grosso No. 11 in B major, Opus 6 will also be on the program. Garth Gilchrist, storyteller, will tell short antectodes between pieces to provide historical context and interesting tidbits about the composers and their music.
