I’ve just started a series of poured acrylics abstract paintings. It’s about as far from my realistic nature watercolors as you can get. The one thread of connection these pieces have with all my other art is COLOR, which is always one of my prime concerns. It’s so much fun experimenting with the many possible techniques in this medium. The image here is my very first one. I did it in a 2 hour workshop, and was so excited by the possibilities that I went right out and bought supplies so I could work at home. Today I did two more, but they’re too wet to move and photograph. I’ll post more as they are ready. This new art project is faster and messier than watercolors, for sure. But it sure is fun!
