8×8 acrylic on stretched canvas.
Dragon Smoke is the fourth in this experimental series of small poured acrylic paintings. As in the first three, I used blues, greens, gold, and copper. The techniques included swiping, spinning, and modifications with a pointed stick. With this one, however, I added a completely new step. I added some areas of swiping with black on the white background, which then was stretched out and took on the look of smoke as the painting progressed.
