This piece was inspired by a trip to the Carrizo Plains this spring during the amazing super bloom in California. It was truly spectacular! I’ve featured a selection of flowers I saw on that trip: CA poppy, lupine, goldfields, tidy tips, desert candle, baby blue eyes, wind poppy, owl’s clover, larkspur, phacelia, red maids, fiddlenecks. Of course there were others, but I couldn’t include every one. The hills really were covered with multicolored spreads of colors. Truly magical!
