We are part of a huge, mysterious universe and more and more planets are being discovered beyond our solar system and galaxy. This painting explores an imagined part of the cosmos. “Unknown Planet” is the first in my new series of poured acrylic paintings depicting planets and other abstract cosmic scenes. The imaginary planet and other cosmic elements were painted on the background while still wet. The shading on the planet was added after everything else had dried for a few days.
