Basilisk, Orchids, Frogs

This watercolor painting was inspired by a very regal looking plumed (or green) Basilisk lizard I saw at the Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. His profile was quite striking! There's an inner border of orchids and an outer border of frogs – including many poison dart frogs. The bright red one is the aptly named Madagascar Tomato Frog.
