Red-collared Lorikeet

The Red-collared Lorikeet is a close relative of the Rainbow Lorikeet, and both are found in Australia. This fellow is shown with his favorite food, the flowers of the Darwin woollybutt eucalyptus tree. The abstract background was painted first, using one of my favorite liquid acrylic pouring techniques.
