I just learned that my watercolor entry, “Toxic Tango IV: Fateful Flowers“, has won an Honorable Mention in the “Left Coast” exhibit at Marin Society of Artists. This show is hanging in the gallery at 1515 Third St., San Rafael, CA 94901. I also have a painting in the online National Juried Show, “Expressions 2021“.
Fateful Flowers is the fourth piece in my “Toxic Tango” series. Each watercolor in the series features something that’s lovely to behold, but is poisonous or venomous. Nature is complicated, and both beauty and danger are abundant. The other paintings in the series feature sea slugs, peacock spiders, and cone shells. They all include identification charts below the main images.
