I’ve been busy working on a new watercolor painting ever since the Basilisk was taken to be framed. This new work, titled “Feast Food”, is a painting inspired by a Renaissance period recipe. It will be used in a fund-raiser by the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art (MarinMOCA) in December.
24 artists were invited to create works of art inspired by one of 12 different recipes for the MarinMOCA fundraiser.
Images of the finished pieces were used in MarinMOCA’s first calendar. Each month features the work of two artists inspired by the same recipe. A small photo of the actual dish is included, along with the recipe. The calendar made very nice Christmas gifts!
