We (Mike and I) just returned from a wonderful three week trip to Italy. Actually, our trip was closer to four weeks, since we started off with a few days in New York. The entire adventure was fantastic! I was able to explore Venice, Florence, Cinque Terre, Tuscany, Amalfi Coast (from Sorrento) and Rome, all for the first time.
The weather was unseasonably cool and damp, but that made for dramatic skies. It never rained enough to cause us to curtail a whole day’s worth of plans. Luckily, we had thrown umbrellas and raincoats into our suitcases at the last minute. The weather was very changeable from minute to minute, so I ended up wearing everything I’d brought, from jeans and coat to sundress.
I have posted lots of pictures on Picasaweb
here.
