Burst of Joy – Spirit Made Flesh was inspired by a vision I had while meditating many years ago. In it, a body of pure, blinding light moved toward me. As it approached, it became clothed in many diaphanous layers that contained and hit its brilliance. When it was finally right in front of me, it was a person. That is, a soul contained in a fleshly body. This served to remind me of what amazing light we each have inside of us.
My abstract pieces may appear to be either microcosm or cosmic macrocosm, but each has an internal rather than an objective source. The subject matter is energy, dimensions and multiple realities. Vibrant color is my primary tool in translating the interaction and transformation of energies.
