Super Bloom

This was a spectacular year for wildflowers, so we visited Carrizo Plain National Monument in southern CA to see the “super bloom”. It was truly amazing, with fields of flowers spreading for acres. Even the distant hills were covered with flowers and lush green grass. This painting is a whimsical interpretation of what we saw on that trip.
